My aim is to offer counselling and psychotherapy in a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment. I believe by offering this alongside a good therapeutic relationship, I can support you to develop what is needed to make changes to move forward.

What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Sometimes life challenges can affect you in a way that can leave you feeling anxious, stressed and trying to cope with other unpleasant feelings. These can cause or be caused by relationship difficulties or breakdowns. Or you might be recognising negative thoughts and behaviours that you would like to change. Such feelings and behaviours can present as or may be triggered by:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Childhood related issues
  • Low moods
  • Depression
  • Relationship issues
  • Low self esteem
  • Bereavement
  • Sexual Dysfunctions
  • Sexuality & sexual identity
  • Painful sex

Psychotherapy and counselling is about offering you a safe and confidential space to talk to a professional about your feelings and concerns. I offer short-term and long-term therapy dependant on your needs and circumstances and will normally see you weekly at an agreed time for 50 minutes. I do not offer advice or solve your problems but I offer professional support to help you understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to make effective changes or finding ways to cope with your problems.
